  • ILLUSTRATIONS 2015 - 1
This is an ongoing illustration project that has helped me find my personal illustration style based on graphics I enjoy.

I draw inspiration from the likes of Shepard Fairey, Lisa Frank, Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, the "kawaii" Japanese culture and the internet in general.

The subjects are a mix of celebrities, friends and internet personalities.

  • LA LAKERS CONCEPT
This is only a concept and is no way associated with Adidas, the NBA or the Los Angeles Lakers.

    Shooting For The Stars

As one of sports winningest franchises, the Los Angeles Lakers brand is extremely visible on the global stage. As the team develops new talent and repositions itself in the league, the brand receives an update that appeals to the current market.

Bold shapes, strong lines, and classic colors make the all new Lakers branding strong in the present, and timeless as the team looks towards the future.

  • PERSONAL BRANDING
Aiming to complete my personal branding, I created a logo and selected new colors that repositions myself as a designer. I'm aiming as high as I possibly can, the space helmet was a necessity.

  • SUBSTANCE OVER SEMBLANCE
This is a CONCEPT that is not officially connected to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Black Lives Matter is a movement that fights against anti-black racism that permeates in society today, according to the Black Lives Matter website.

After many instances where black human beings were wrongly treated and killed, #BlackLivesMatter uses social media and real life protests to fight for black rights.

Some comments are made about the BLM movement in regards to it's legitimacy. Comments can be derogatory and often based on people feeling uncomfortable with the image of people protesting.

Connecting the idea that people judge the movement from a far with the fact that people judge human beings for the color of their skin, I created a campaign that could be used on social media outlets and in print.

Street art and tagging is often dismissed as "graffiti" because it's "urban" and done by people in the streets. Using handwritten graffi-esque writing is used knowing that people will judge it for it's "urban" look.

However, it doesn't matter how the message is delivered. To many, graffiti is beautiful. Many times, tagging/graffiti is all about the message. The Black Lives Matter movement is often criticized for many reasons, but their message is what people should focus on. It's SUBSTANCE is more important than the outward appearance of the movement.

Posters are bright, bold and eye catching when seen on walls in the streets, websites and social media posts.

  • BRATWURST BASEBALL
Inspired by Minor League Baseball's lively brands, I created a fictional team to experiment with artistically. Creating a fierce bratwurst that uses relish and mustard as it's weapon of choice proved to be challenging to create but rewarding to see.
